individual therapy

Individual therapy refers to one-on-one sessions where the client is the sole focus of the counsellor. This can be a highly effective form of therapy due to its personalised and collaborative approach, allowing the counsellor to tailor treatment around your unique needs and preferences. In our safe and non-judgemental space, you can explore and process any troubling thoughts, feelings, or behaviours and gain healing and insight. Drawing upon a range of evidence-based techniques, I will help you learn new skills and coping strategies so that you can experience positive change in your life.

child & adolescent therapy

I work with parents and families to create individualised strategies to support your child or teen through challenging times. It can be immensely beneficial for your young person to have a trusted adult outside the family to confide in and be there for them safely. Therapy can help alleviate distress, modify behaviour, and allow children and adolescents to flourish. I’ve supported children and teens struggling with change, bereavement, academic stress, feelings of inadequacy, friendship challenges, anger management and emotional regulation, insomnia, navigating family dynamics and parental conflict/separation, along with the transition to university and early career. I utilise a variety of scientifically proven therapeutic approaches and draw on Art and Play Therapy techniques that lend themselves to working with this group. I am also a strong supporter of a strengths-based approach which can foster problem-solving skills, resilience, and self-esteem.

online therapy

Online counselling or teletherapy refers to mental health support provided virtually. It can be an appealing alternative to the traditional therapy room setting for numerous reasons, mainly for increasing accessibility. Location or a tight work schedule needn’t be an issue provided you have a comfortable, private spot and secure internet connection. Moreover, research shows that online therapy is as effective as traditional in-person sessions. So, it’s worth bearing this option in mind to ensure you continue to get the support you need when travelling or otherwise unable to attend.
